Univision Communications Launches Direct to Consumer Video Service – Univision NOW – Delivering Live Stream of Univision and UniMás Networks

Premier Spanish-language Content, including Live Sporting Events and Specials – Available through a Monthly $5.99 or Annual $59.99 Subscription on iOS, Android and Web

Univision Communications Inc. (UCI), the leading media company serving Hispanic America,launched Univision NOW, a new direct to consumer service available on iOS, Android and web with a monthly or annual subscription fee. With Univision NOW, viewers can watch the live broadcast of the Univision and UniMás networks featuring their respective full schedules of telenovelas, sports, news, award shows and more.

Users can sign up to Univision NOW with a monthly $5.99 or annual $59.99 subscription on univisionnow.com. Features include:

  • UniMás live broadcast
  • Primetime content available for seven days after its linear premiere*
  • Three-day DVR functionality on live streams—rewind up to 72 hours*
  • Push notifications to watch live breaking news
  • Access to local news in New York, Los Angeles and Houston for viewers in those markets.

Viewers will be able to watch live TV or catch up on Univision Network programming including and not limited to: primetime blockbuster telenovelas, “Muchacha Italiana Viene a Casarse,” “Antes Muerta Que Lichita,” “Pasión y Poder” and “Yo No Creo en Los Hombres”; reality hits “La Banda” and “Nuestra Belleza Latina”; award shows “Latin GRAMMY Awards,” “Premios Univision Deportes,” “Premio Lo Nuestro” and “Premios Juventud”; and news including comprehensive 2016 Election coverage. On the UniMás front, users will be able to enjoy high quality and engaging alternative series, classic shows and some of the most exciting fútbol matches including Liga MX, the most watched soccer league in the U.S., and MLS. In addition to accessing the national live broadcast of Univision and UniMás networks anytime, anywhere by anyone, users in New York, Los Angeles and Houston will have access to local content in those areas. This feature will roll out in other major markets following launch.
