Syncbak Live Streams Summer Concert Series at Gotham Organization’s Atlas New York, Extending Reach of Hyperlocal Content to a National Audience

Anyone in the U.S. Can Watch Thursday, June 14 Concert for Free on SBTV App and at Syncbak.TV

New York, NY(12 Jun 2018)

As part of its mission to deliver unique hyperlocal programming to consumers across the U.S., Syncbak, which created the technology that powers live over-the-top (OTT) television, today announced it will live stream the Gotham Organization’s Open Air Summer Concert Series from the midtown Manhattan building, Atlas New York, on its SBTV app and at Syncbak.TV. SBTV launched last month; the SBTV app provides consumers with access to local programming from anywhere in the U.S. – live or on-demand – on any device.

This year’s first concert, taking place Thursday, June 14 at 8:30 p.m. Eastern, marks the Gotham Organization’s 10th anniversary of the series, which kicked off with a performance by Lady Gaga. 2018 performers include Argonaut & Wasp, a Brooklyn-based dance-rock band, and Cafuné, a Brooklyn-based alt-pop duo. Other bands and dates will be named this summer. Using Syncbak’s OTT technology, the 2018 Open Air Summer Concert Series will be live streamed nationwide and syndicated locally by 100 television stations in 69 markets across the U.S.

In addition, Fandor, the movie streaming service with the largest collection of independent films, documentaries, international features and shorts, serves as the inaugural sponsor for the concert series live stream, leveraging Syncbak’s live dynamic ad insertion technology platform, adSync. With adSync, television stations and content providers can monetize original programming on a local level. With SBTV, advertisers and ad agencies can leverage premium, brand safe, local content for their linear and digital TV buys.

“Our collaboration with the Gotham Organization to live stream its summer concert series is a perfect example of what SBTV was designed to do – give viewers around the country access to original hyperlocal programming, regardless of where they live,” said Jack Perry, Founder and CEO, Syncbak. “With Fandor joining as the inaugural sponsor, we are able to demonstrate the significance of the straight-to-OTT live streaming opportunity for both viewers and advertisers.”

“Gotham Organization is committed to providing our residents with services and amenities that enhance their lifestyles,” says Jessica Koenig, Marketing Director, Gotham Organization. “Since the inception of our concert series 10 years ago, we have continued to look for ways to ensure our residents have the opportunity to take part in unique and engaging experiences. Syncbak’s OTT technology was the perfect platform for us to amplify the series, which will now be shared among a massive group of consumers. We’re looking forward to providing an outlet for unique entertainment, thanks to the help of Syncbak, for the remainder of the summer season.”

“Fandor’s mission has always been to provide high-quality movie and premium editorial content to streaming users, with the goal of expanding viewership of rare gems and bringing people together through movies,” states Larry Aidem, President & CEO, Fandor. “Our love for movies and related content continues to broaden the love of our users’ interest in them as well. Our sponsorship of SBTV’s inaugural live stream of Gotham Organizations’ Atlas Open Air Summer Concert Series is another opportunity for Fandor to provide consumers with fresh, additional premium content.”

Syncbak’s live stream will be produced by Webby and James Beard award-winning producer Liza de Guia and hosted by Geoff Rickly, lead singer and songwriter for rock band Thursday and alternative rock band No Devotion. Rickly will also interview both bands on the SBTV live stream following their sets.
