UKSG offers scholarly communication innovation award

The award is open to new professionals from the library and publishing communities.

UKSG, partnered with the New Library Professional Network (NLPN) and the Society of Young Publishers (SYP) has announced an annual competition/award for innovation and creativity in the scholarly communications sector.

The award is open to new professionals (with a maximum of five years’ experience). Teams and groups may apply (group applications must feature at least one new professional).

“New professionals are the lifeblood of our industry and UKSG is really keen to harness their ideas, creativity and enthusiasm for the benefit of the wider sector.  This is why we wanted to both create and fund this new competition”

Dominic Broadhurst, on behalf of UKSG

Two awards of £1000 are available – one each for an entry from the library and publishing communities. The prizes will help deliver and develop projects and may be used on, for example, developing marketing collateral, technology spend and undertaking research.
