Alan Turing Institute: university partners announced

The five universities that will lead the Alan Turing Institute have been announced.


The Universities of Cambridge, Edinburgh, Oxford, Warwick and University College London have been chosen to lead the Alan Turing Institute.  The Institute will be based at the British Library in London.

The Alan Turing Institute aims to attract the world’s best mathematicians and data scientists to help establish the UK as a leader in big data and algorithm research.

The UK government is funding the Institute with £42 million over five years.  Additional funding will come from the university partners and business and government bodies.
