Microsoft closing ebook store

Refunds made available because your books won't be.

Microsoft’s ebook store, which is competing with Amazon, Apple Books, and Google Play Books, is being shuttered.  Ebooks are no longer being sold and people who have previously bought books will find them deleted from their libraries in July.

As with most ebook stores, a purchase is simply a licence to access and not a licence to ‘own’ what you have bought.

Full refunds will be available for ebooks already purchased or pre-ordered. An additional credit may be available to compensate those who have annotated their ebooks.
