Facebook has responded to a report by Belgian researchers who claimed that Facebook had breached EU privacy law.
The report outlined a number of breaches which Facebook has - mostly - refuted.
In a post, Facebook responds to a number of the report’s claims including one that Facebook doesn’t provide controls over the sharing of location information.
However, one claim garnered a different response from Facebook. The researchers stated that Facebook wants to use social plugins to add cookies to the browsers of non-Facebook users. Facebook denied this, but did accept that a bug had meant that this may have happened. They state a fix is in progress.
