The British Library to build £800m research hub

Plan hopes to support and grow the biotech ecosystem across southeast England.

The planned hub will be located in London’s Knowledge Quarter joining the Francis Crick Institute, the Wellcome Trust, University College London, the London Biosciences Innovation Centre and other institutions.

The site will provide over 70,000 square metres of space for offices and labs.

“This new site provides a great opportunity to bring together a number of the region’s strengths: health data research, genomics, advanced therapies, high powered computing and AI alongside the vibrant creative and cultural sectors.”  Phil Jackson, Project Director at MedCity.
