In Germany the federal prosecutor has started an investigation into the website Netzpolitik.org.
Earlier in 2015 Netzpolitik, which specialises in tech and political news, published leaked documents from Germany’s secret service which implied there were plans to increase state surveillance of online communications.
It is over 50 years since treason charges have been made against journalists in Germany.
