BigQuery Data Transfer Service Now GA

Google has announced that the Google Cloud Platform’s BigQuery Data Transfer Service is now publicly available.

The announcement was made in a new blog post by Matthew Tai, product manager, Google Cloud.

First introduced at Cloud Next, the Google BigQuery Data Transfer Service was created to automate data movement from SaaS applications to BigQuery on a scheduled, managed basis.

As part of the GA announcement release, for DoubleClick Campaign Manager and DoubleClick for Publishers are now GA also.

The BigQuery Data Transfer Service now offers a Data Delivery SLA. The service will ship data to BigQuery within 24 hours of receipt or the daily charge is covered by Google.

For select applications, organizations can now set their data delivery schedules, and reporting teams can now configure the service to ship data to BigQuery when they need it. In addition, the BigQuery Data Transfer Service now operates in the same locations as BigQuery  to help increase  availability and reliability.

Organizations can also visualize data imported by the BigQuery Data Transfer Service with leading BI tools like Tableau, Looker and ZoomData, or use Google Data Studio.
